LUCY PEARMAN: Work In Progress
‘Traditionally, unmarried girls were sent into the veg garden to choose the ‘perfect’ cabbage’ (Anon).
Lucy Pearman previews charming, playful nonsense, bonkers storytelling with a heart and an elusive cabbage.
‘Brilliantly playful… marks Lucy out as something rather special.’ (Laugh Out London)
‘Lucy Pearman is so very endearing to watch and an integral feature of pioneering new comedy in a big way.’ (Funny Women)
ALI BRICE: Ali Brice’s Never Ending Pencil (WIP)
A monk starts the show. Then you’ll be taken on a journey full to the brim with nonsense, heartfelt silliness and quite possibly a song!
Ali Brice is a character comedian. He’s chasing his dreams and has almost caught up with them. Come and celebrate the tomfoolery of life with a man whose greatest joy is making a perfect ham sandwich.
***** “A twinkle-eyed comedy natural” ShortCom.co.uk *****”A side-splittingly comical entity” TheUpcoming **** “Joyously bonkers…the perfect level of exaggerated oddness” Chortle **** “The Mighty Boosh and Reeves & Mortimer, with a bit of Phoenix Nights”
TESSA COATES: Work In Progress
Tessa is one third of Massive Dad (**** ‘Hilarious’ – The Guardian) and this year she’s performing her debut show. Armed with an absolutely useless degree in Anthropology and some very big questions about how we got here, ‘Primates’ is a comedy show about what it means to be human and how everyone needs to calm down.
Tessa has previously been seen on @elevenish (ITV2), Comic Relief (BBC1), Coconut (BBC3) and Nish Kumar’s Christmas Cracker (Sky Arts), and heard on Newsjack (BBC Radio 4), The Lentil Sorters (BBC Radio 4) and the Doctor Who audiobook ‘And You Will Obey’ (Big Finish Productions).
‘I love Tessa Coates’ – Caitlin Moran.
